Current Graduate Students 

Tyler Waldon-Lee

Tyler is a sixth-year Ph.D. student in Dr. O’Brien’s lab. He earned his B.S. in psychology from Georgia Gwinnett College. His interests focus on the processes of stereotypes, prejudice, stigma, and discrimination and their impact on the criminal justice system, education, and intergroup relationships. Maria Casteigne

Maria is a fourth-year Ph.D. student working with Dr. Laurie O’Brien and Dr. Damian Murray. She earned her B.A. in psychology at Le Moyne College and her M.A. in experimental psychology at the University of Dayton. Nieve Mahood

Nieve is a first-year Ph.D. student in Dr. O’Brien’s lab. She earned her B.A. in psychology from SUNY Geneseo. Her research interests include the marginalization of women, stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination. Allyson Whyte

Ally Whyte is a senior at Tulane University in the School of Science and Engineering, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Strategy, Leadership, and Analytics (expected graduation May 2026). Her research interests focus on child psychology and the development of social-emotional skills, and she is passionate about the intersection of clinical practice and psychoeducation. Grace Taylor

Grace Taylor is a member of Tulane University’s Class of 2027, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies and completing the Gender-Based Violence Certification. She is passionate about supporting individuals facing significant mental health challenges and advancing equitable access to care. Grace is also deeply committed to advocacy around gender equity, reproductive health, and the rights of historically underrepresented communities. She strives to combine research, compassion, and policy work to help create systems that are both evidence-based and human-centered.

Aliana Dellarocco

Aliana Dellarocco is a sophomore at Tulane University, graduating in 2027, pursuing a triple major in Psychology, Public Health, and Cognitive Studies. She is passionate about exploring the intersection of psychology and public health, with a focus on applying psychological research to health equity and child advocacy. Mary Craddock

Mary Craddock is a Psychology B.S Major with a minor in Sociology. After graduation she plans to puruse a Master’s degree in a mental health-related field and work with children in a professional compacity. She is currently conducting a research study on moral perceptions and stereotypes of parents. Yvette Bivins-Sanchez

Meet a WMSURE Scholar: Yvette Bivins Sanchez | WMSURE | Arts & Sciences | William & Mary

Yvette graduated with a B.S in Psychology from The College of William and Mary in Spring 2023 and has held the position of Lab manager since August, 2023. Her research interests comprise of Cultural Competence, Racial Prejudice & Confronting Racism, Mental Health, Stigma & Discrimination, Reducing Bias & the intersections between Race, Gender, and Sexuality. After fulfilling their role they intend to attain a Ph.D in Social Psychology and pursue a career in psychological research.
