The Social Perception Lab is in the School of Science and Engineering at Tulane University, located in New Orleans, Louisiana. We conduct experimental research investigating the psychology of prejudice, stereotyping, discrimination, and stigma. Broadly speaking, our research examines the consequences of perceiving prejudice and stereotypes from the perspective of both majority and minority group members. An important aim of the research in our lab is to understand how lay people perceive (and fail to perceive) prejudice and discrimination. Learn more about the questions we are investigating by visiting the Research and Publications page. Learn how to get involved in the lab by visiting the Join the Lab page.
